Verizon Employees/Retirees,

Good companies know it makes sense for all of their employees to use their products and services.  Employees become product experts and learn about the customer experience, bringing that knowledge back to their daily work and interactions with potential customers.  And, when a company offers an employee discount, the employees can use the products and save money – something important to everyone, especially in this economy.

That’s why I’m pleased to introduce the Verizon Employee Consumer Discount for Verizon employees and retirees – from any business unit – who live in the areas where our consumer services are offered.  Once you sign up, the discount will be ongoing for as long as the Employee Discount program remains in effect, but the enrollment period for the discount is available only until Dec. 31, so please act quickly. CWA-represented employees in New York and New England and IBEW-represented employees in New York are not currently eligible for the employee discount offer because the CWA’s and IBEW’s request to bargain prevents the offer from being implemented.

Here’s how the discount works:

Just sign up for an eligible bundle of services – your choice of a combination of landline voice, Internet or TV service – and save:

  • If you live in an area where our highly-acclaimed FiOS service is available, just choose three services and you’ll get an employee discount of $20 each month. Choose two services and save $10 per month.
  • If you live outside the FiOS area, or just prefer our affordable High Speed Internet and DIRECTV services, you’ll get $10 off each month on eligible bundles, or $5 off a month if you choose High Speed Internet only.
  • You get the employee discount on top of other promotional discounts we’re offering in the marketplace. We’re running some very attractive promotions now – including up to $150 back via a Verizon Visa prepaid card on some FiOS bundles – so there’s no better time to sign up.
  • If you’re already a customer, I’d like to thank you and encourage you to take advantage of the discount as well. Just move to a current bundle and you can sign up for this discount by following the instructions on the website.
Go to http://www.verizon.com/employeediscount to view the discount and program rules, find out which eligible packages and services are available where you live and sign up. Should a technician need to visit your home, we are ready to provide flexible appointment times to make the installation convenient for you.

I encourage you to make Verizon the choice in your home.  You’ll not only save money, but you have my commitment, and that of my entire team, that you’ll get the best service experience around.  And you can feel good that the money you spend is going to the company you work for, not to a competitor.

Please email me at the address above to let me know about your service experience and your thoughts on how we can continue to deliver a customer experience we are all proud of.

Thank you for helping to keep Verizon strong.

Fran
President-Verizon Telecom & Business
